A sculptural solid-wood decorative vessel hand-finished in the Open Window Restore studio using a Negoro Nuri-inspired decorative technique taught by Amy Howard.
The warm red surface is layered with deep black accents and intentionally worn areas, creating the character of an aged lacquered object collected over time. The turned pedestal form and rich, timeworn coloration make it especially striking displayed with books, artwork, pottery or other collected objects.
